Rördrom - Botaurus lentiginosus - Great Bittern

Well, not easy to see that one. It preferred to stay hidden. I had heard there was one about 20kn from my home. This is what I got to see. It is not that uncommon. You can hear it but rarely see it This was the second time I´ve seen it. The white beside it is snow.

WOW! It is so well hidden you can just about see the bird. Great find.

ReplyDeleteThey do like to hide in tall grasses to continue being camouflaged. Great image showing just that.
