I visited the Arboretum yesterday and did see one Jay. I walked around among the trees and there is another Jay. It turned out to be 4 or 5 of them. A family. Quite hard to spot in the branches but I was happy. The bird in the first image was clearly checking me out before taking off. In the last shot there are 2 of them sitting on a branch. In another post I will share some of the trees in the Arboretum.

I think your Jay is a handsome bird, great shots!
ReplyDeleteIf I saw one of these, and got a decent photo of it...I'd probably pee my pants with excitement. Gorgeous. Your photos are post card perfect.
ReplyDeleteNever an easy bird to photograph for me but you managed well.
ReplyDeleteThey may have been hard to spot - but I suppose you could hear them. Very noisy birds.
