 Not often I see this bird but today I spottted a few. They are in winter plumage so they are not so colorful.

 A flock of Hawfinch outside my window on the third floor. I have been lucky to see them this winter. This time it was 10 of them. The largest group so far.

 A pair being watched by a third bird, a male.

 Male feeding the female! Can I hope for a nesting pair? Acc to the book this tree would be fine. That would be a treat. :)

Sitting in my kitchen drinking a  cup of coffee I noticed some movements in the treetops outside.  Did not look like a Bluetit  so I got my binochular to check. It was the Hawfinch, a male. I rarely see them so I picked up the camera and went out the balcony. This is what I got. Some times third floor and a 500mm lens is just right. :)

Sometimes one shot is enough. I only got one of this goldfinch but I think it is goodlooking. I think he wanted breakfast as he dissappeared so quickly.:)
