Passing by this land yesterday I realized we had a brand new lake. It had been raining a lot and the land was filled with water. Not sure the farmer liked it but the birds did. The first of the vaders I´ve seen was there and some greylag goose and gulls. And to me, it was a nice surprise :)
And in the nearby pond I found a Moorhen. I hope it will stay.

  7. Isn't that cool that the birds found this new lake so quickly? I hope your moorhen sticks around too.

  11. I have begun to appreciate shore birds since moving to New Zealand. They are so pretty to see and quite majestic in their own way.
