Eurasian Siskin - Grönsiska

A few of the Robins stays in Sweden during winter and so do Siskins. The grey wagtail migrates and they have been here a few days. This pair just decided for a place to nest. I think I know where.

The Grey Wagtail is still here. I did see a third so they have a juvenile too. If you look carefully in the second image you can see both of the adults.

Juvenile, I think there was 3 of them begging for food. But this one seems to think " you are not my parent"

One couple has arrived to Boda Kvarn stream. Last year they did not stay to breed. Will be interesting to see if they stay this season. I hope they will.

I´ve been trying for a long time to see this wagtail up close but failed. Now I finally got them. I was alone at  the location so I could go for it as I wanted and succeeded. Took me more then an hour to get them used to me. No other people disturbed the event. I hope they will stay and nest here. People say there was a couple nesting a few years ago. So, I keep my fingers crossed. But I have to be alert. According to wiki the incubation period is about two weeks with chicks fledging within a fortnight. Less then 4 weeks till chicks are flying.
