This is the four species of wagtails I have seen in Sweden. The last one was a rare one and the only time I have seen it. Ever!

The White wagtail is always here. First to come in spring and the last to leave.

The Yellow wagtail is here only in spring migration. Stops for a week or so, then head up north somewhere. This time it was only two birds, not sore if it is a pair or two males.

I´ve been trying for a long time to see this wagtail up close but failed. Now I finally got them. I was alone at the location so I could go for it as I wanted and succeeded. Took me more then an hour to get them used to me. No other people disturbed the event. I hope they will stay and nest here. People say there was a couple nesting a few years ago. So, I keep my fingers crossed. But I have to be alert. According to wiki the incubation period is about two weeks with chicks fledging within a fortnight. Less then 4 weeks till chicks are flying.

Sädesärla - Motacilla yarrellii - White wagtail / Pied wagtail

In most of Europe it is the White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) that is most common. But this is in Scotland, GB, so this bird is the sub-species Pied Wagtail (M. a. yarrellii)

This particular wagtail seem to like it in the north. I´ve never seen it where I live so it was a nice sighting.
