A colorful favourite :) A male and not even a small twig destroys the image.

males, they have a pretty back too.

I was lucky to see some of them in the forest. Maybe eight or ten of them. The females was very sky and did not come close enough for good shots.  They are "winterbirds" and rarely seen in summer.

I was lucky to see a couple of these in the forest. They are one of my favourites in winter. Almost impossible to see them unless there is a feeder nearby.
