There are a lot of hybrid birds among the candian geeze. Some of them looks crazy in the heads. The parents are probably Canadian and greylag goose. And maybe, the whitest one, might be Barnacle goose but I´m not sure. Probably more likey they are "suffering" from leucism. I wonder if the two spieces will finally become one?

Fiskgjuse - Pandion haliaetus - Osprey

I had seen this Osprey earlier when it was leaving the little wetland. I was looking elsewhere and did not see it coming back. I guess I reacted to the splash from the dive and turned to shoot. And had the bird coming right at me from behind the reed.  Instinctly I pulled the trigger and this is the actual shot. SOOC as they call it. Too bad I did not catch the entire face. That would have been cool.

Here I had time to turn around. It is not perfectly sharp but you can see the big fish it is holding.

And then it headed away to another bird high up in the air. Maybe a juvie.

Hannes praktdräkt kan ha vilka färger som helst. Men honan är ganska alldaglig. Tyvärr satt jag i ett gömsle så jag kunde inte smyga mig närmare.
The males breeding plumage can come in pretty much all colors. But the female seem to be rather plain. Sadly enough I was in a hiding so I could not get closer.

Som ni ser så gillar den här korsnäbben Lärkträdets kottar. Den häckar mestadels i Ryssland men i år tycks vi ha fått en invasion för det finns just nu många i Sverige. Kanske de svängde fel någonstans på väg söderut.
As you can see this crossbill likes the cones of the Larch tree. It breeds mostly in Russia but this year we seem to have an invasion of them right now. Maybe they took a wrong turn somewhere on their way south.

SOF-net har gjort om sin hemsida och ändrar alla länkar till fåglar som jag har i den första posten av varje art. Där de haft några uppgifter. Jag ska leta efter andra länkar så fort jag hinner. Grågås - Anser anser - Greylag Goose

The Greylag goose is a common  bird around here. They are the first to arrive in the end of March. Now the offspring are almost grown so the birds are gathering in flocks to eat before leaving the country again. I think they are quite boring. But for some reason I always like to see them from behind. I think you can see why. It is the only bird I don´t get sorry when they turn their backs on me and takes off. They have beautiful tails.  :)

This was very fun to watch. The couple have 4 young. And one parent came with a large fish and offered it to the family. But the fish was too large so the young tried to get it down the throat but failed and dropped it in the water. I hope the fish was dead because it was thrown back and forth for a long time. I even had time to shoot a video. But it did not really come out well. Not so easy when you are sitting in a kayak and the kayak starts to sway in waves from another boat.

About that last shot. I just could not resist it. But the camera plays tricks on you. It was a 300mm lens so it seem closer then it actually was to the beach. :)
