This was weird somehow. I did see the young whooper swans but no adults. Then there was adult mute swans. In the first image the mute swan is swimming really fast towards the young whooper swans. I thought, there is trouble going on soon as the two swan species don´t really get along. But luckily nothing of the sort happened. :)

These images is from last year when it was soo cold still in April. Shot in early morning light. I realised now I had these on other blogs but not on the bird blog. Had to correct that. The last ones are young birds born the year before.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to witness a short dance the Whopper Swans performed. They too, love spring time. :)

I was surprised when I arrived to the lake a couple of days ago. I was expecting graylag geese. Instead there was about a hundred mute swans and one whooper swan. And a few ducks here and there. The swans usually gather here but not this early. Does that mean the breeding was not successful? I did not see any young birds in the group. Anyway, it was a beautiful sight. And a lot of action in the group too.

Some days everything works so well you almost get stunned. I did not se many birds but things that I liked.  The Long Tailed Tit was searching for food right in front of me. At least for a minute. And then the Blue Tits was playing around with each other. This is a pair I think. The darker one the male. Checking each other out. The swans was in the lake about 10 min walk from the location of the others. This is probably a family where the youngsters just got their adult plumage.
