Tofsmes - Parus cristatus - Crested Tit

My lucky day when it comes to birds. First time ever I was fledglings of the Crested Tits. 
I rarely see this bird. Maybe once of twice a year and now I was able to spot three young ones. Even if only for a brief moment.

From my book I think this is a male juvenile. The dark plumage points to a male. First time I saw a young from this species. Images of ad below.

I was up early this morning to capture mist and sunrise. The sun was still low when I spotted this juvenile Northern Weatear. The low sun made it´s color so soft and rich. I did not see any adults so I guess this one was on it´s own. It will soon turn south as fall is approaching.

This little wagtail seemed to think a bath would be nice and fun. After being splashing around for a while mom and dad came to supervise but they did not start splashing. Just checking that everything was OK.

I don´t see much of this bird since I sold my kayak. But this day I had them right in front of me. I can´t remember seeing this behaviour of the juvenile bird. Going so low in the water when begging. 

In the first image I think the eyes looks weird. But maybe they have a protective lens to protect the eyes when diving?

Seem to have been a great year for thehGrey Heron. On the image is two adults and one young. But I saw at least 16 herons in the small lake. Almost seemed crowded. :)

There was at least two, maybe three, families of Oystercatcher with young of different age. One seemed newly hatched and another almost ad. This was on my morning walk before we left for the day.

This was weird. I saw these guys and automatically thought it was barn swallows. But then I spotted an adult swooping by and realised it was a House Martin. These guys turned out to be House Martin Juvies. It is clearly visible where they built a new nest on the old Barn swallow nest. They don´t have much room to peek out, do they? :)

I rarely point my camera at the Jackdaw but this adult with a hungry, begging, juvenile was fun to watch.  :)
