If anyone wonders what it is eating? It is an old, frozen apple. It seemed to like it.

Wow - vilka fina bilder!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the Bohemian Waxwing! That first shot really shows their gorgeous coloring.

ReplyDeleteIncredible, fascinating photos! Love each one!
ReplyDeleteUnderbara bilder på sidensvansarna och så glad jag blev när jag såg att de åt äpplen också .. då skall jag gå iväg och köpa äpplen och lägga ut här :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the bird. It's hard to imagine a bird being so hungry that it eats an old frozen apple like that. Out here they get very fussy over fruit that's not quite ripe!
ReplyDeleteSend some of those Bohemian Waxwings to the U.S. Its been a couple of years since I have seen them.
ReplyDeleteVackert vackert. Jag såg sådana förra veckan och gissa om kameran var med på turen?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures of one of my favorite birds. We have Cedar and Bohemian Waxwings on the move here in Maine at this time.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a waxwing eating apple before so I was quite surprised. But there are almost no berries on the trees now, so it takes what it gets I guess.
ReplyDelete@nemonen: Har du ingen "pocketkamera"?
Grattis till fina bilder på sidensvansen. Om det inte finns äpplen så äter de andra bär och nypon. Har även sett att de uppskattar enbär vid flera tillfällen.

Beautiful shots of the waxwings! I've never seen this species before, although they aren't that far off from the Cedar Waxwings that migrate through here in the spring and fall. Wonderful catch!
ReplyDeleteA waxwing is a species I've never had luck to see in the field. These are beautiful photos. Makes me even more anxious to see one some day.
