How they could nest that way I have no idéa. I wonder how they do to secure the nest to the side of the cliff?
The comment from Ramlbing woods explain how. Thank you.

In most of Europe it is the White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) that is most common. But this is in Scotland, GB, so this bird is the sub-species Pied Wagtail (M. a. yarrellii)

A new species from my Scotland trip. They were so much fun to watch and study. Did not see any young, they were still in the nests in the ground.

About Atlantic Puffin on wiki

This is interesting, quote from wiki:
"When hunting, Puffins may collect several small fish, such as herring, sprats and sand eels, zooplankton, crustaceans and mollusks. The tongue is used to hold the fish against spines in the palate, leaving the bill free to open to catch more fish. The fish, which may number up to twelve, are held in the bill with the heads facing in alternate directions."

This bird had a lot of temper. So fun to watch. It wanted the pond for itself. :)

I finally got a shot showing the patterns on the wing of this dove. Our Swedish name means Circle dove and the patterns look a bit like a circle. :)

This is a nice little bird that is not that shy. This one stayed for a while despite it knew I was there. I think it checked out the new pathway. I was pleasently surprised to find it, the pathway. Now it is possible to get a bit longer out to overlook the lake. There was not much birds in the lake but from the plank you could tell some geeze had been there.

The Carrion Crow looks a lot like the Raven when you see it like this and can´t really determin the size of the birds. I have never seen it in Sweden. Only once before in Camargue.

quote: "This agile bird chooses one partner for life; females lay one egg per year. Razorbills nest along coastal cliffs in enclosed or slightly exposed crevices. The parents spend equal amounts of time incubating. Once the chick has hatched, the parents take turns foraging for their young and sometimes fly long distances before finding prey."

This was weird. I saw these guys and automatically thought it was barn swallows. But then I spotted an adult swooping by and realised it was a House Martin. These guys turned out to be House Martin Juvies. It is clearly visible where they built a new nest on the old Barn swallow nest. They don´t have much room to peek out, do they? :)
