Trana - Grus grus - Common Crane

The gathering of cranes also draws a lot of crowd and jacdaws to the field. And doves. It is quite unusual to see this. At the same time the farmers are harvesting. I was surprised when I arrived at this Nature Reserve, Kvismaren.

Someone said that this member of the crow family is the one that the most common one. I don´t know about that because I rarely see it. But this day, for the first time, I saw several of them. Think it was 5. Mostly it is in the forest and it is said to be shy. And this is the first time I saw one on the ground and got some descent shots of it.

The Carrion Crow looks a lot like the Raven when you see it like this and can´t really determin the size of the birds. I have never seen it in Sweden. Only once before in Camargue.
