NF Photo 120626 at Staple Island, Farne Islandss, Scotland
A new species from my Scotland trip. They were so much fun to watch and study. Did not see any young, they were still in the nests in the ground. Om Lunnefågel på wiki
About Atlantic Puffin on wiki
This is interesting, quote from wiki:
"When hunting, Puffins may collect several small fish, such as herring, sprats and sand eels, zooplankton, crustaceans and mollusks. The tongue is used to hold the fish against spines in the palate, leaving the bill free to open to catch more fish. The fish, which may number up to twelve, are held in the bill with the heads facing in alternate directions."

Så fina bilder på denna lite annorlunda fågeln. Skulle vara kul att få se den. Så den håller fisken i sidan av näbben då?
