I was suspecting there would be young grebes that day so I went out. It was not easy to take shots in the hard rain balancing an umbrella and manouvering the camera with my long camera lens. The birds did not seem to fancy the hard rain either. Mom and dad grebe seemed all soaked up too.

That was a lot of work in the rain, but you got photos of an interesting bird. We have grebes here too, but I have only seen 1 kind here in person. Thank you for participating in this week's Nature Notes..Michelle
