It was amazing how close we could get without seeming to disturb them. They just ignored you. The islands so good for nesting they accepted all "visitors".

  1. Your Shag is our Cormorant? I love the shot with the juvenile. Great shots!

  2. Very beautiful! Visiting from Camera Critters.

    Have a great weekend.

  3. Enjoyed all the behaviour perspectives of this bird! Especially loved the macro profile!

  4. Hi Eileen. The Shag seen in my post today is not the common cormorant. It is very similar but it is smaller, has some fancy feathers on it´s skull, not really seen here, and it seem to be only at the ocean coast of Europe. And the mediterrainien sea.

  5. Hej!

  6. Flotte billeder du viser:)

  7. Looks like what we call a Cormorant here in Texas [America] I especially loved the beautiful sheen you've managed to capture.

Thanks again, for linking up at the Bird D'Pot weekend meme!!

  8. Very beautiful photos. I enjoy your blogs very much. You are so talented.

  9. Beautiful sequence!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

  10. Lovely close-up shots. Hard to get close to that species here.

  11. thanks a lot, I´m glad to have you. :)

  12. Really nice close ups. I've seen hundreds of Cormorants but never a Shag. It's on my list to see.

  13. Amazing images of these wonderful birds..
