Kråka-Gråkråka - Corvus cornix - Hooded Crow

First time I have ever seen a crow with a fish. I was taken with surprise and did not know what the catch was until I saw the images on the screen.

Gärdsmyg - Troglodytes troglodytes - Winter Wren or Eurasian wren

I finally got some good photos or our wren here in Sweden. The first images might be an adult bird. The others is clearly a young. Talk about being well camouflaged. It was really hard to keep track of it. This wren is not as dark as teh one in the states. And the shape of the bill seem to differ a bit.

this Spotted Flycatcher is rare where I live. I only know them from this location and I did only see one.

A nice surprice today. Not often I see the crossbills. And I was lucky to capture both of them.

Being aware of my precence the male hesitates to fly to the nest

Guess it decided I was of not much threat

I have not seen any more activity at that birdhouse so I guess the house was not pleasing. They seem to have choosen an other one.

Water fowl Good and bad

Sothöna - Fulica atra - Eurasian Coot
The two on the image is not the same family. The Ad probably thought the baby got too close and chased it away. As you can see the Ad bites the baby around the neck. It came out unharmed though. This might be the same Ad individual that robbed the nest of Black-headed gulls two weeks ago. Is it bad behaviour of one individual or is it common among Coots? I have never seen it bfore.
