I was lucky to see some of them in the forest. Maybe eight or ten of them. The females was very sky and did not come close enough for good shots.  They are "winterbirds" and rarely seen in summer.

  6. So where do they go in the summer ... your are already pretty far north ... so they go further north ... very interesting and beautiful bird, even the female with her brownish grayish coloring. Have heard the name Bullfinch, but this is the first time I have seen one. Wonderful find, Monica ...
