Till slut fick jag några hyfsade bilder på Sidensvansen. Flygbilden är ju inte så bra, men den visar hur fågeln ser ut underifrån.

Finally I got some good images on the waxwing. The image with the flying bird is not that good, but it shows how the bird looks from below.

Jag har läst att stjärtmesarna sällan kommer till fågelmatning då de egentligen äter insekter. Men i år är det tydligen så kallt att de får ta vad som bjuds. I mina ögon är de de sötaste fåglar vi har.

I have read that the long tailed tits rearely comes to feeders as they mainly eats insects. But this cold winter they seem to have to take whats offered. In my opinion they are the cutest birds we have.

Fågelguiden - Birdguide

Nu har jag äntligen fått boken. Den nya Fågelguiden! Nu slipper jag springa ner på biblioteket i tid och otid för att låna den. Den kommer att bli min ständiga följeslagare de närmsta åren. En viktig ingrediens i packningen.

Finally, the new edition of Fågelguiden ( Birdguide) was in the mail today. Now I don´t have to bike to the library to borrow it. It will be my companion the next couple of years. An important part of the backpack.

Ett tack till Kirsti som hjälpte till med identifiering, hon skrev: Den övre fågeln ser ut som en nybadad grönsångare..eller ev. gransångare. Men jag tror mer på grön! :)

Thanks to Kirsti who helped indentify the bird. She wrote: The bird looks like a new bathed Wood Warbler .. or..maybe a Common Chiffchaff. But I believe more on Wood Warbler.
