ReplyDeleteI agree it is fun to get photos of birds that look completely different from the poses you typically see in books. Interesting grooming behavior you have photographed.

ReplyDeleteOur American Dipper (Water Ouzel) is not quite as colorful as yours but it does have an iridescent blue look when the light hits it just right.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors on your Dipper. That first image is excellent. Any bird that can walk underwater, in a freezing cold stream to get its dinner has my complete admiration, no matter what color it is!
