What! Bird or branch? Well, the treecreper leaving the nest.

The nest, but it is impossible to see anything in it.

Today I accidently found a pair of treecreeper coming with food to chicks. A very busy pair. To bad I could not see the young ones. It was interesting to see that the birds behaviour had changed a bit. They were more active and not so close to the tree as they normally are.

  6. Wow, what a great sighting. How in the world did you spot that nest? The crack in that tree doesn't look large enough to accommodate a nest. Amazing!

  8. Terrific capture of a neat little bird, so well camouflaged (for which I envy them)

  10. That bird is certainly well hidden with colors so similar to the bark of the tree. Great photos.

  11. How did I fidn the nest? I noticed the first bird behaving different from what it used to do. Then the next one appeared. I never seen two of them before. Then it was easy to see where they went with the goodies. :)
Glad you liked it. I thought you would.

  14. Great find and capture! Such a tight spot for a nest - I suppose it's cozy and fairly safe from predators.

*ler
