Hussvala - Delichon urbica - House Martin
NF Photo 120730, Djulö

This was weird. I saw these guys and automatically thought it was barn swallows. But then I spotted an adult swooping by and realised it was a House Martin. These guys turned out to be House Martin Juvies. It is clearly visible where they built a new nest on the old Barn swallow nest. They don´t have much room to peek out, do they? :)

  1. It is interesting to see the difference in nest construction techniques between the two species. Nice photos!
