About Caspian Plover on wiki The Caspian Plover (Charadrius asiaticus) is a wader in the plover family of birds. It breeds in western and central Asia and migrates southward to eastern and southern Africa to escape the northern winter.
It was first seen in Mörkö, Sweden march 25, 2014. I saw it today so the bird was a lifer for both Sweden and me. :)
