I was out kayaking day before yesterday. I was talking to a man who has some red waterlilies. While I was talking and taking some pics of the waterlilies this female malard decided my kayak was to her liking. She jumped up on it and started to groom herself. I was quick with the camera but had to lean a lot backwards to get some pics. I had the 300 mm lens so it was not that easy.

I have NEVER had any bird come near my kayak! That bird must have been really used to people around it. The red waterlillies are beautiful.
