The marsh tit looks a lot like our chickadee. I'm sure they're related.
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely birds but the plumage on the Yellowhammer is especially beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat yellowhammer is beautiful and Mike is right the Marsh Tit does look a Chickadee, as do the ones in the UK. Great photos. Boom & Gary of The Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteLovely images of birds i love to see. The call of the Yellowhammer is described in the UK as "a little piece of bread and no cheeeese" I love them.
ReplyDeleteYellowhammer! Love the name and love the photograph even more. I checked out your landscape photos and all I can say is I hope you have a good furnace. ;-)WBW
ReplyDeleteLove your photos , especially that cute little marsh tit.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing about the Marsh Tit as I am looking at two chickadees in my feeder right now! The yellowhammer is beautiful--so are your landscapes!
