Svartkråka - Corvus corone - Carrion Crow
NF Photo 120625 in Aberlady Bay, Scotland

The Carrion Crow looks a lot like the Raven when you see it like this and can´t really determin the size of the birds. I have never seen it in Sweden. Only once before in Camargue.

  1. I had no idea they were uncommon in Sweden. Here in Germany (Hamburg) they are everywhere. A few years ago a huge group came to roost every night in my street during the winter...car owners were not amused, but I enjoyed watching the crows.

  2. I don't think I've ever seen a carrion crow before. So, with your help in posting this photo for us, I learned of a new species this week.
