Today I was lucky, came really close to these beauties. :) Not easy to spot unless you see them in the air. I counted 12 of them this time. I was able to get rather close to them so it was a nice birding obs.

Beautiful in breeding plumage. The Snow Buntings I have seen in Illinois during the winter had much more brown coloration. Very nice photos!

ReplyDeleteI am just smiling to see your photos of these endearing birds. Their soft rounded heads and bodies are just so appealing and I admire their markings so much--esoecially the golden yellow. Do they keep these same colors in the summer?
