I wanted to get closer to this bird but had a lot of snow between myself and the bird. The guys in the group said I should not worry about that, we were to see lots of them later on. And I could get my shots then. I guess the birds was not noted. This one was the only one we saw. It is a male in spring plumage.Om Fjällripa på wiki

Den var ju vacker ... jag har inte sett nån sån i verkligheten .. men skulle gärna vilja det .. speciellt efter att ha sett dessa bilder :)
